Hi Joe
One of the greatest strengths of the CIS Benchmarks is that they are developed via a process of collaboration and consensus of experts from around the world and from Government, private and public sectors. It's not just CIS folks sitting in a room and creating those. Being involved with that process is one way to help shorten the time to release of new OS or Benchmark versions.
I encourage you to participate in that opportunity. As mentioned in the Windows Benchmark Community - we are recruiting additional qualified contributors for the Microsoft Windows Benchmark Community. If you are interested in helping make the world's computer systems secure, contributing to developing CIS Benchmarks is a great way to do it. For more information, please contact BenchmarkInfo@cisecurity.org.
Best regards
